CABLE TOOL AND COMBINATION RIGS

With a variety of specifications and mounting options, JUPER Drilling Rigs operate for more than 50 years in drilling, rehabilitation, maintenance and cleaning of water wells.

We keep replacement parts and permanent technical assistance.

VERSATILE, ROBUST & ECONOMIC

These are the qualities that make GP-300 an efficient machine for constructing wells and a reliable source of profit.

Versatility

Drilling straight and vertical wells in any given geological formation or in well maintenance and rehabilitation services, GP300 gives economic performance. The plunging action of cable tool systems drill wells that produce more water. High quality formation samples can be recovered from any depth. Easy transportation and access to the drilling location on both semi-trailer type or truck mounted.

Reduced Environmental Footprint

GP-300 provides clean drilling operations, with a small footprint. No drilling fluids or additives are required.

Reels Robustness

Gear-driven Bull Reel composed of cast steel gear with machine-cut teeth and a cast steel drum, two adjustable dividers, is gear-driven from the jackshaft with friction clutch control.

Friction-driven Sand Reel operated from the friction drive on the jackshaft, permits fast bailing at high speeds.

Gear-driven Casing Reel one-piece cast steel with machine-cut teeth, pulls up to 11.000 kg(two-part tackle pull).

Solid Foundation

Lightweight structural steel frame eliminates unneeded bulk and keeps machinery aligned. All -welded box-type construction, machinery in this sturdy frame is locked in accurate alignment – shaft bearings are welded in place, then line bored to ensure perfect alignment of the shafts, reels and gears. This gives to GP300 smooth operation and long-lasting performance. The frame construction allows easy accessibility to all moving parts, helping to keep every working part in top operating condition with only slight attention, cutting costs for repairs and maintenance.

High-speed Jackshaft Assembly

Mounted on three anti-friction roller bearings, is made of high-carbon steel, machine-turned, ground and polished. Driven by direct belt drive from engine, gives smooth running and long life. Precision components, operational simplicity and low cost replacement parts.

Counterweighted Spudding Gear

Gives you an extra measure of safety. The counterweight tends to prevent the spudding beam from remaining at top dead centre when weight of the tool string is removed or from remaining at the bottom dead centre when weight of the tool string is applied. Gear is made of cast steel with machine-cut teeth and is pressed on the crankshaft. Crank pin is bolted in the spudding gear. No torque is transmitted to the crank pin through the spudding shaft. Three positions are provided for the crank pin connections, giving 800mm, 560mm and 350mm strokes, as measured at the top of the hole while operating at normal speed. The crankshaft rotates in bronze bearing shells which are readily replaced.

Power Derrick Hoist

Friction-driven power hoist permits quick set up and knockdown, giving maximum drilling time.

Rubber Shock Absorber

Located at the derrick head, the first point contact of the drill cable with the machine, it protects the machinery of the drill from shocks and vibrations.

Slack-line Holder

Fitted to heel sheave. Prevents slack line on bull reel drum, reducing wear on drum and hope. Consists of spring-loaded shoe and throw out lever, mounted in heel-sheave yoke.

Power Unit

3 or 4 stroke liquid cooled engine, 53-67 HP @ 1.500/2.200 rpm. Provided with starter, alternator, cooling system, air intake system, instruments panel and battery. Flat-plate friction clutches  mounted directly to the face of the engine's flywheel with split linings, controlling drilling motion (spudding), bull reel and casing reel. Adjustable motor base and fuel tank capacity of 80 litres.
